The Woodlands Economic Development Partnership announces New Board Members

The Woodlands, TX – The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership (EDP) held its Annual Meeting and Partner Celebration on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center.  At the Annual Meeting, Jim Calvetti Vice-Chairman of the Nominating Committee, with Calvetti Ferguson announced the newly appointed officers and board members for the 2018-2019 term. Gil Staley, CEO provided an organizational overview of accomplishments for the past fiscal year and an awards presentation was done for the 2017-2018 officers. The outgoing 2017-2018 board members were recognized for their contributions, John Frere, Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, Jud Miller, Woodforest National Bank and Virgil Yoakum, Woodforest Development, Inc.

Over 115 partners and guests attended the reception to honor the outgoing Chairman, Heidi Carney of First Financial Bank for her leadership to EDP this past year.

The Economic Development Partnership has served as the industry leader in promoting the vitality of The Woodlands Area through the support of existing businesses and the recruitment of new businesses for over 20 years.

The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership (EDP) is a 503(c6) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the economic development of The Woodlands Area through the support of existing businesses and the recruitment of new businesses that can bring job opportunities and capital investment to the area.
