The Woodlands Pride Festival Update
THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Pride (TWP) Third Annual Festival that was scheduled to take place on September, 26th 2020 has been canceled due to safety concerns regarding COVID-19. In these times of uncertainty we, like many organizations, place safety and security above all else.
TWP is in the planning stages of evaluating what our pride celebration looks like going forward. Pending CDC and local government recommendations, we’re planning to bring Pride to The Woodlands area in the fall in some capacity. Whether that is a virtual pride, or several small events, we will celebrate queer history and the achievements of our community.
In the meantime, follow our social media for the latest updates. We will also bring back ‘Together With Pride,” which features local personal stories of pride within our community. As always, we are looking for volunteers and committee members to help with what lies ahead. If you’re interested in helping, contact info@thewoodlandstxpride.org.
The Woodlands Pride, formed in 2018, is a 100 percent volunteer-run, 501(c)3 organization incorporated in the state of Texas. Our mission is to connect, celebrate, educate, and foster relationships in the LGBTQIA community while promoting equality, unity, and love in The Woodlands and beyond.
