The Woodlands Township Election Candidates and Important Dates for November 2020

Elections for The Woodlands Township Board of Directors will be held on November 3, 2020. Each office carries a two-year term and all positions are elected at large by voters in The Woodlands Township in both Montgomery County and Harris County. To vote in a Township election, you must be a registered voter in the county of your residence and a resident of The Woodlands Township.

Relevant Dates*

  • October 5, 2020 – Last Day to Register to Vote
  • October 13, 2020 – First Day of Early Voting by Personal Appearance
  • October 30, 2020 – Last Day of Early Voting by Personal Appearance
  • November 3, 2020 – Election Day

*The Texas Secretary of State is the chief election officer of the State of Texas and provides the dates set forth herein. Voting Information and Locations

In addition to the Township Board of Directors, voters in The Woodlands elect representatives to a variety of districts, agencies and governmental entities with jurisdiction in our community. These elections may be for federal, state and local (MUDs, College District, etc.) officials or measures. General elections are held on May and November Uniform Election Dates. Schedules for primaries and special elections follow a separate process. Check with your County Election Office or the entity calling the election for more details. Four at-large positions on The Woodlands Township Board of Directors will be elected in the November 2020 election, designated as positions 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Each office carries a two-year term and all four positions are elected at large by voters in The Woodlands Township in both Montgomery and Harris County. Per the Township’s enabling legislation, a Director is not entitled to compensation for service on the Board.
