Tomball Cancels Fall & Holiday Events

By  |

TOMBALL, TX – Because of the ongoing threat of COVID-19 and the uncertainty of when guidelines regarding large gatherings will be lifted in Harris County, the City of Tomball is cancelling the remainder of its 2020 festival season.

The festivals affected include:

  • GroovFest 2020
  • Paces4Pink 5K run for breast cancer awareness
  • Zomball in Tomball
  • Freight Train Food Truck Festival
  • Tomball Bluegrass Festival
  • Depot Day – A National Model Railroad Day Event
  • Light It Up! – The City Christmas Tree Lighting
  • Deck the Depot

Even though Tomball’s fall festivals and events are being cancelled for audiences attending on-site at the historic downtown Depot, several are being considered as candidates for presentation in a virtual format. These virtual activities would be streamed live on the internet and possibly aired on City-owned KTTF – 95.3 FM. Plans for the virtual alternative events will be announced in the coming weeks.

Tomball is just 28 miles northwest of downtown Houston on FM 2920 at State Highway 249. For information visit or “Tomball Texan for Fun” on Facebook.
