October 7, 2022 – Hocus Pocus Movie Matinee – Get ready for Halloween by watching the original Hocus Pocus in the Large Meeting Room at the Mitchell Library. The family-friendly, PG movie starts at 2:00 pm. Snacks will be provided. Anyone under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Learn More

October 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29, 2022 – The Haunting at Bear Branch – Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. You and your family can try to escape but the darkness will close in. Mazes, tunnels, twists and turns will be a part of your journey. But beware of the different states of confusion you will face in the Panic Room! Ticket sales open at 7:45 pm. October 8, 2022 – Safe-tober Fest – Come meet your first responders and tour fire engines, ground and air ambulances, law enforcement vehicles and more at this Halloween-themed event in Old Town Spring. The event will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Learn More

October 8, 2022 – 2nd Saturday at the Depot Halloween Movie Night – 2nd Saturday at the Depot is a free family-friendly event at the Historic Tomball Depot. The movie Hotel Transylvania will be playing to celebrate Halloween. Be sure to bring lawn chairs, blankets and your favorite snacks. Learn More

October 13, 2022 – Pumpkin Carving for Kids – South Regional Library is taking (most of) the mess and danger out of pumpkin carving this season! Keep your hands free of pumpkin guts and let your child carve a styrofoam pumpkin instead! Each child aged 6 years and older will receive a their own styrofoam pumpkin to carve and paint. October 14, 2022 – Hocus Pocus Pops – Halloween tradition meets fantastic family time at Hocus Pocus Pops! This annual gathering of guys and ghouls marks the start of the spookiest season with Houston Symphony Halloween classics, costumed fun and a chance to make memories with your favorite people. October 15, 2022 – Pumpkin Water Patch – Find your pumpkin in a bathing suit, paint or carve your pumpkin, visit different stations to play games, win prizes and remember your trick-or-treat bag for candy! October 15, 2022 – “Chills Down Your Spine” Concert – Conroe Symphony Orchestra presents “Chills Down Your Spine” for its season opener from 7:30 – 9:00 pm at Willis High School, 10005 Texas 75 in Willis. Learn More

October 16, 2022 – HOWL-O-WEEN Fall Festival – Join Operation Pets Alive as Northshore Park is transformed into a PAWS-itively awesome HOWL-O-WEEN Fall Festival from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Dozens of ghouls and furry monsters (adoptable homeless pets of Operation Pets Alive and Friends of Faye) will be in attendance to scare you out of your senses with mega sweetness and puppy kisses! Funds raised during the event will benefit Operation Pets Alive and Friends of Faye, both of which are 501(c)(3) non-profits, all-volunteer run animal rescue organizations. Learn More

October 16, 2022 – Concert in the Park – Concert in the Park is a popular family tradition of music and fun for all ages held at Northshore Park Sunday evenings from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. October 19, 2022 – Jack O’ Lanterns in a Jar Craft – It’s Spooky Season! Join Lone Star College-Tomball Community Library to create a Jack O’ Lantern that you can use all year round. There will be plenty of craft supplies, so you can make a spooky creation of your own design, too! Crafts are for ages 12-21. The library is located at 30555 Tomball Parkway in Tomball. October 19, 22, 26, 29, 2022 – Tandem Trick or Treat – Take the traditional trick-or-treating experience to the water! Travel via tandem (double) kayak around the lower Waterway and Lake Woodlands to collect Halloween treats from boat house staff. Costumes encouraged! Pre-registration required. October 21, 22, 28, 29, 2022 – 4th Annual Haunted House at Wunderlich Farm – Are you ready to see what lurks in the 1882 farmhouse when the lights go out? Are you brave enough for the dark rooms, the screams, the terror that awaits? October 22, 2022 – Trick or Treat Trail – Princesses, pirates, ghosts and goblins are invited to don their costumes and enjoy a spooktacular celebration at the annual Trick or Treat Trail at Northshore Park. While at the event, children have the opportunity to trick or treat from booth to booth and fill their bags with goodies from local vendors. The FREE event also includes strolling entertainment, carnival games, costume contests, photo areas, food trucks and more from 3:00 – 6:00 pm. Learn More

October 21, 2022 – Halloween at the Y – Halloween at the Y is a free family fun event featuring trick or treat stops, carnival type games, concessions, t-shirts, and more. This community event is for all ages. Bring a friend and wear your costumes! Halloween at the Y is held outdoors at Branch Crossing YMCA, 8100 Ashlane Way in The Woodlands from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. October 22, 2022 – Into The Woods Halloween Party – The annual Into The Woods Halloween Party is a fun-filled night for a good cause featuring a costume party & contest, generous delectable bites & hocus-pocus drinks, a live band, wine pull, fortune tellers, photo booth, entertaining games, mystery boxes, and much more! The fun begins at 7:00 pm at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel. Learn More

October 27, 2022 – Toddler Time: Boo At The Zoo! – Bring your little ones and their costumes for some spooky, scaly fun at The Learning Zoo from 10:00 am to noon. Enjoy a reptile show, crafts & activities for preschoolers, and explore the tortoise feeding yard or petting zoo. Tickets are $7 for each person over 1 year old, and must be purchased in advance. October 27-29, 2022 – The Haunted Trail at B*E Winery – The Haunted Trail is back for a 3rd year at B*E Winery in Conroe. This is a real trail that is not recommended for children under the age of 10 or anyone who has trouble walking a long distance and on uneven surfaces. Learn More

October 28, 2022 – Storybook Theatre: The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything – The Woodlands Children’s Museum’s presents The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything by Linda Williams at 11:00 am during Storybook Theatre. Children will help provide sound effects for this child-friendly seasonal tale of the little old lady who encounters some noisy items while strolling through the woods. She gets over her fear in a delightful and creative way. Learn More

October 28-30, 2022 – Dia de los Muertos Celebration – The City Place Dia de los Muertos Celebration kicks off on Friday, October 28 with a ticketed four-course Black Dinner featuring a candlelight procession leading to the unveiling of a traditional altar, live music, and Catrina face painting. The Mercado takes place Saturday, October 29, where guests can shop a variety of Mexican vendors and artisans showcasing an assortment of upscale accessories, art, clothing and more, followed by Calacas & Cocktails festivities from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. October 29, 2022 – Intimate Gathering Series: Mathew Whitmire – Haunted Conroe Ghost Stories – Mathew Whitmire operates the Haunted Conroe Ghost Tours and he will be sharing some spooky historic ghost stories guaranteed to get you into the Halloween spirit. October 29, 2022 – Howl-O-Ween Howl Night – Do you dare to join the wolves at Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary for a spooky night of fun? Come howl with the wolf pack at the Howl-O-Ween event with activities that are fun for the entire family. All you ghouls and goblins will be able show off your howl-o-ween spirit, take a tour of the sanctuary, hear a spooky fireside chat, and participate in a costume contest! Hot dogs, chips, and s’mores will be served after dark. Feeling brave enough to camp overnight night with us and listen to the wolves howl? October 29, 2022 – Pumpkins & ‘Possums – Friends of Texas Wildlife is hosting Pumpkins & ‘Possums where you can get up close with nocturnal critters! October 29, 2022 – Glow and Go 5K – New for 2022, the Township introduces the first annual Glow and Go 5K beginning at 7:00 pm along The Woodlands Waterway. The chip-timed course will incorporate the full length of the scenic Woodlands Waterway. Participants are encouraged to dress in their best glow costumes in the spirit of Halloween! October 29, 2022 – Trunk or Treat at FMC – Trunk or Treat at First Methodist Conroe is an evening of costumes, trick-or-treating, and fun! Cars will be decorated and parked in the main parking lot of the church so children will trick-or-treat from trunk to trunk. There will be a contest for best-decorated trunk, hot dogs, face-painting, balloon artists, Kona Ice, games, and of course lots and lots of candy starting at 5:00 pm. Learn More

November 5, 2022 – Pumpkin Smash – Not sure what to do with your leftover Halloween pumpkin? Instead of putting it in the trash, take it to the Sterling Ridge Park and Ride parking lot for the Pumpkin Smash! Choose how you want to smash your pumpkin – catapult it and watch it fly, grab a baseball bat and smash it to pieces, or watch it explode on impact from a 30’ drop! Staff and volunteers will be on hand to monitor the safety and fun of all participants. All pumpkin remains will be collected and taken to a local composting facility, where it will be kept out of the landfill and turned into a nutrient rich soil amendment. Visit educational booths to learn more about diverting food waste, starting your own backyard compost bin and upcoming compost classes. Learn More
