March 2024 – Classes and Events at Ardest Gallery – Ardest Gallery, a local fine arts gallery curated by Gallery Director Julie Verville, represents nearly 40, top Texas 2D and 3D visual artists. In addition to its core artists, the gallery will host ongoing events such as monthly group art shows, Coffee Talk with an Artist, Art to Lunch in partnership with local restaurants, poetry readings, musical performances, and art classes/workshops for all ages and skill levels.   • Starting March 2, 2024 – Grand Central Park Artisan Market – Support local artisans and businesses while picking up handcrafted treasures and artisanal treats at the Grand Central Park Artisan Market the first Saturday of each month through September, beginning March 2, 2024. Attendees can browse the wares offered by local food and business vendors, as well as artists, designers, and crafters at this outdoor market. The market is held at The Lake House from 9:00am – Noon. February 16 – March 27, 2024 – Trinity Episcopal Lent Fish Fridays – The Brotherhood of St. Andrew hosts a fish dinner each Friday during Lent at Trinity Episcopal Church here in The Woodlands. The menu is fried or baked fish, french fries, hush puppies, fried pickles, cole slaw, potato salad, and desserts and costs only $12. Dinners in person will be on February 16th – March 27th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Butler Hall. Payment is via cash, credit card, debit card, or payment apps. It’s open to the public and all are welcome! You can order take-out too! Just call ahead to the parish office (281-367-8113) by 3 p.m. of the Friday with a pick-up time of 5PM. EVERY FRIDAY! March 2, 2024 – The Woodlands Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10k – The Woodlands Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10k traverse the streets of Town Center and The Woodlands community, finishing on the scenic The Woodlands Waterway. March 3, 2024 – Cars & Coffee for a Cause – The Woodlands Car Club car enthusiasts gather at Market Street the first Sunday of each month from 6:30-10:00am to provide a fun and creative way to give back to our community. All types of cars/vehicles from classics, hot rods, exotics, and more are welcome. The Woodlands Car Club shares information about needful non-profit organizations in Montgomery County, and gives back through donations to the Market Street “Change for Charities” program. March 3, 10, 17, and 24, 2024 – Concert in the Park – Concert in the Park is a popular family tradition of music and fun for all ages! Concert in the Park features local bands playing a variety of favorites from pop and rock to country during the spring and fall. Coolers, picnic baskets, blankets, and lawn chairs are permitted. March 16, 23, and 30, 2024 – Waterway Nights – Enjoy live music by local and regional performers in the picturesque setting of Waterway Square at Waterway Nights on Saturday nights from 6:30-8:30pm. March 23, 2024 – Cleft Smiles 5k – The Cleft Smiles 5k is a timed, family fun event; participants are welcome to run or walk at Rob Fleming Park. Prizes will be presented to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers. Stick around after the run for activities including a photo booth, games, music, prizes, bounce houses, face painting, vendor booths, and food trucks! March 30, 2024 – Run and Done 3.1 – The chip-timed Run and Done 3.1 5K course will utilize the full length of The Woodlands Waterway providing a scenic route and a fun, enjoyable atmosphere for participants of all skill levels (recommended for ages 10 and older). After the race, registered participants and their guests can enjoy an egg hunt in Town Green Park! Egg hunt participants must be accompanied by a registered athlete with a race bib. Learn More

PET OF THE MONTH

Hello Woodlands, in partnership with Operation Pets Alive, highlights a “Pet of the Month” that features a local dog or cat available for foster and/or adoption in Montgomery County, Texas. Operation Pets Alive is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization striving to elevate Montgomery County to a No-Kill community through innovative programs that raise community awareness, reduce the number of dogs and cats that enter our shelters, and increase the number of dogs and cats that leave our shelters alive.
