Canopy is open to men and women, no matter where you were treated, and for any kind of cancer. May 5, 2023 – Cinco de Mayo Golf Tournament – The Montgomery County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the US Mexico Chamber of Commerce – Houston/The Woodlands/Gulf Coast to join forces on Cinco de Mayo for the Tacos, Tequilas, and Tees golf tournament. Get your team together and sign up today! The tournament is anticipated to sell out. There are only 144 player slots (36 teams). May 7, 2023 – Outrun Hunger 5k Run/Walk & 1k Color Dash – The Outrun Hunger 5k Run/Walk & 1k Color Dash benefits the Montgomery County Food Bank. Choose from the timed 5k Trail or the 1k Color Run! The event will be held from noon to 3:00 p.m. at The Lake House at Grand Central Park, 1039 Lake House Dr, Conroe, TX 77304. Your registration fee provides up to 200 meals for those facing hunger. May 19, 2023 – Montgomery County Go Red For Women Luncheon – Join us for the Montgomery County Go Red For Women Luncheon on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott & Convention Center! The Go Red for Women experience continues to be the cornerstone of the Go Red for Women movement in local communities. This empowering gathering focuses on preventing heart disease and stroke, shares stories of people impacted by this issue and raises critically needed funds to support research and education initiatives. June 5 and July 10, 2023 – Sign up for Disney The Little Mermaid Jr. Summer Camp – Sign up for the Disney The Little Mermaid Jr. Summer Camp on June 5 and July 10, 2023 at at Teora Music School. Students will be guided to work on Musical Theatre performance which will include, solo, duet, ensemble singing, acting, dancing and character development, that points them to their highest potential. Students will gain a sense of confidence, which will allow them to shine. Hello Woodlands, in partnership with Operation Pets Alive, highlights a “Pet of the Month” that features a local dog or cat available for foster and/or adoption in Montgomery County, Texas. Operation Pets Alive is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization striving to elevate Montgomery County to a No-Kill community through innovative programs that raise community awareness, reduce the number of dogs and cats that enter our shelters, and increase the number of dogs and cats that leave our shelters alive.
