Officer involved shooting after Shenandoah Traffic Stop under investigation

UPDATE 6/2/25 5:10pm: The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect in the recent shooting incident as 53-year-old Casey Guillory from Sugar Land, Texas. Guillory has been charged with Evading in a Motor Vehicle and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. He is currently in stable condition in the hospital, receiving treatment for his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, and the case will be presented to a Montgomery County Grand Jury once it is completed. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation progresses.

ORIGINAL 5/31/25: On May 30, 2025 at approximately 11:40 pm, deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a white late model Jaguar in South Montgomery County. During the traffic stop, the driver of the Jaguar, a 53 year old white male, fled the scene and a second Deputy engaged in a pursuit, assisted by Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Officers with the Shenandoah Police Department deployed tire deflation devices, which led to the driver stopping on the on-ramp to FM 1488. The suspect exited the vehicle with a firearm, and the deputy fired multiple shots, striking the suspect. Additional units arrived on scene and provided emergency medical treatment to the suspect, who was transported to a local hospital where he is in critical but stable condition.

An investigation into this incident is being conducted by the MCSO Major Crimes Unit, MCSO Crime Scene, Montgomery County DA’s Office, and the Texas Rangers.
