Folds of Honor Greats of Golf return to PGA TOUR Champions event in The Woodlands for 13th year
The Insperity Invitational presented by UnitedHealthcare will usher in a new era in 2026 featuring the introduction of a refreshed brand, along with a new charitable initiative designed to make an even greater impact on the community.
Tournament officials marked the two-month countdown to its 2026 tournament, May 4-10, by celebrating a more modern identity with a shortened brand name – The Insperity presented by UnitedHealthcare. The Insperity remains the premier Invitational event on the PGA TOUR Champions.
Fans will see The Insperity featured across broadcast graphics, on-site signage, social media, and official merchandise, while also continuing to reference the full event name – the Insperity Invitational presented by UnitedHealthcare – to honor the tournament’s history and Invitational distinction.
While the name has evolved, the tradition of excellence remains unchanged.
“For 40 years Insperity has been at the forefront of the HR industry, and our commitment to community and charitable impact is stronger than ever,” said Paul Sarvadi, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Insperity. “This next chapter positions us to elevate the tournament’s influence and expand the meaningful difference we can make in communities. The Insperity tournament reflects the prestige, passion, and invitational distinction that define this event. It honors our legacy while positioning us boldly for the future.”
Golf fans attending The Insperity this year will witness the stars of the PGA TOUR Champions along with the return of the Folds of Honor Greats of Golf to The Woodlands for its 13th year – all while playing a direct role in supporting a mission that is positively changing lives.
Beginning with the 23rd edition of the award-winning tournament, The Insperity will transition to a fully ticketed event after more than a decade of providing free admission to fans. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased .
The move reflects The Insperity’s continued commitment to making a charitable impact in the local community, with proceeds from ticket sales benefitting Folds of Honor.
“As a tournament built on community and giving back, this transition allows us to turn a wonderful tradition into an even greater force for good,” said Bryan Naugle, Executive Director of The Insperity. “By introducing ticketing in 2026, we can provide additional support to Folds of Honor, and the families of those who have sacrificed so much for all of us.”
With charitable fundraising at its heart, the tournament’s shift to ticketing aims to expand its philanthropic reach and making a meaningful difference in the lives of military and first responder families.
“We are grateful to Insperity, the terrific tournament team and those who work tirelessly to make the week a success,” said Lt. Col. Dan Rooney, founder and CEO of Folds of Honor. “With the support of our patriotic partners and The Insperity, this additional fundraising effort will help provide the spouses and children of our nation’s heroes with the critical educational support they need and deserve. We are humbled by the commitment of the PGA TOUR Champions players and grateful for the opportunity to share the Folds of Honor mission with golf fans in southern Texas.”
One of the tournament’s most celebrated traditions, the Folds of Honor Greats of Golf exhibition, will continue to serve as a powerful platform for awareness and fundraising.
The spectator-friendly nine-hole scramble will once again feature 20 golf legends during the second round of The Insperity. The event has entertained fans on site and a global television audience on Golf Channel for more than a decade, showcasing icons such as Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Lee Trevino, Tom Watson, Nancy Lopez and Annika Sörenstam.
“We are grateful to Folds of Honor for partnering with us to bring the legends of the game back to The Woodlands for a 13th year,” said Naugle. “This collection of the game’s greats are true ambassadors and role models in our sport. Regardless of your age, each Saturday at The Insperity is about being part of something special that promises to inspire, and we are delighted to continue this tradition with an even greater purpose in 2026 alongside Folds of Honor.”
Players will be grouped in teams of five. Each group will feature one of the greatest women’s golfers ever to play the game.
