BeerForest Taps into Woodforest’s Pine Market
MONTGOMERY, TX – BeerForest — an upscale sports bar and pub concept — recently tapped into Woodforest’s Pine Market serving up craft brews, specialty cocktails and bar bites.
Located at 2295 Woodforest Parkway North, BeerForest celebrated a soft opening on Nov. 18. Owner and restauranter Zack Kuru said he is excited to become part of the Woodforest community.
“When I was presented with the opportunity to open an upscale sports bar in Woodforest, I didn’t hesitate,” he said. “We love everything about this community and feel privileged to serve its residents.”
Kuru is an experienced hand in the restaurant industry having opened several of them over the past 22 years, including Bricco in Katy.
“When I was at grad school in Boston, I worked in restaurants on weekends, and it became a passion,” he said. “I opened four restaurants in the metropolitan Boston area. In 2010, I moved to the Katy area with my wife and two kids. I opened a small upscale casual bar and a full-scale American bistro within a year.”
BeerForest features a lineup of 36 beers on tap, including local favorites Lone Pint Brewery, Ingenious Brewing Company, Karbach Brewing Company, and Saint Arnold Brewing Company. Bartenders can mix up a range of classic and specialty cocktails. A curated wine list and extensive spirit menu round out the bar offerings.
The menu ranges from truffle fries and flat breads to salads and build-your-own burgers. Brunch is served on the weekends.
Customers can enjoy their food and beverages while cheering on their favorite teams. BeerForest sports 10 televisions — six of them on a spacious covered patio equipped with heaters and fans.
Kuru said his goal is to provide a place where people can gather and relax.
“We are proud to be a trendy, casual, and local sports bar in the Woodforest area,” he said. “Providing a positive experience and enjoyable vibe for our customers is a top priority for our BeerForest staff.”
BeerForest is open 3 to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 3 p.m. to midnight Friday, 11 a.m. to midnight Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday.
Eleven businesses have set up shop in Woodforest this year, including Sugar Sugar, Wister’s Bar & Grill, Wo Sushi Fusion, Clean Juice, Grab N Go Tacos and Kustom Kart Pros, all of which opened in Pine Market. Clear Water Express Car Wash, Hanigan and Johnson Orthodontics, Mor Smiles 4 Kids, Revive Aesthetics & Regenerative Medicine, and Verve Chiropractic opened nearby. Magnolia Family Medicine and Primo Hoagies will open in 2023.
Woodforest is also getting its first apartment communities. The Lofts at Pine Market is an active-adult community slated to open in July. The Vic Apartments will be a 300-unit complex located across from Pine Market.
