By  |

Spring is in full swing at north Houston’s City Place, where April ushers in a month filled with family friendly activations. The excitement is all taking place on and around the community’s central Plaza at 1250 Lake Plaza Drive, Spring, TX 77389.

Seasonal Programming

Hop on over Saturday, April 19 for City Place’s annual Easter Celebration. Festivities include photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny, an Art Bike workshop, petting zoo, DJ, face painting, balloon twisters and appearance by the Texas Bubblers, the master bubble wranglers that make giant bubbles using huge wands. The event is free to attend and open to the public from 3:30 pm until 6:30 pm.

City Place’s latest art exhibition Flower Clouds continues into the month of April. Commissioned by London-based creative studio Graphic Rewilding – known internationally for imaginative installations that bridge urban and natural worlds – the installation is presented as a collection of seven whimsical park benches that colorfully depict more than 25 species of natural vegetation (as well as insects and birds) native to the Texas Gulf Coast region. Visitors relaxing and posing on the oversized benches will be enveloped by hyper-lush meadowscapes, as if they were floating on a floral cloud. Open to the public and free of charge, the art piece can be experienced daily from 7 am until 10 pm.
