Conroe Police and Montgomery County District Attorney DWI Traffic Program
The holiday season is upon us! The Conroe Police Department in conjunction with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office is working to be proactive and keep everyone safe in our community. Starting on December 17th through January 1st, Police Officers will be out in full force targeting dangerous drivers.
The District Attorney’s Office will assist the Officers with getting blood specimens with the No Refusal program for any person suspected of driving impaired. Alcohol-related offenses are a serious public safety issue and tend to increase during the holiday season. Officers will focus enforcement along the IH-45 and Hwy 105 corridors.
This enforcement is part of the TxDOT STEP (Selective Traffic Enforcement Program) program. Agencies in Texas receive grant funding to help fund this special project to save lives.
