MCFB’s Food For Life Gala Raises Over $260K
In support of World Food Day, the Montgomery County Food Bank (MCFB) hosted the Food For Life Gala on October 15, 2016 to continue its mission to end hunger in the community. Presented by Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, the event welcomed guests on the fall Saturday evening in a beautiful ballroom at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center.
After checking in, attendees were greeted by cocktail hour, a silent auction, community market, and a diamond vault to raise funds for the cause.
The ballroom was then opened for a delicious sit-down dinner that included a pecan goat cheese salad, roasted chicken with fried macaroni and cheese, and a slice of key lime cheesecake. Tables were adorned by beautiful bouquets provided by H-E-B that were reserved for all guests, partners, sponsors, staff, and volunteers.

The hosts excitedly announced the gala had raised over $260,000 for MCFB and the event ended with a live performance from local “The Voice” finalist and alum, Adley Stump and her band.
