Habitat For Humanity To Honor Chevron Phillips at Gala

By  |

Conroe, TX – Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County (HabitatMCTX) has continued to thrive in its mission to provide affordable housing to hard working families because of the generous financial support of area individuals, companies, churches and schools and the countless volunteer hours that they donate to make these homes a reality.

Chevron Phillips Chemical Company completed its fifth home with HabitatMCTX in the spring of 2017 and is embarking on a sixth. Chevron Phillips Chemical is a company that invests in the communities in which it operates. Two of the company’s goals for community involvement align with Habitat’s Mission: 1) Preserve and strengthen the economy and our economic system, and encourage private enterprise and individual initiative and 2) Promote a healthy community environment – including viable civic, cultural, educational, health and human service institutions.

“It is because of this long-term commitment to Habitat that we are pleased to announce CPChem as our 2018 Habitat for Humanity gala honoree this year,” remarked Kim Lindley, HabitatMCTX board member and gala co-chair. “We are humbled by the dollars they have chosen to invest in our mission and the countless volunteer hours their employees have dedicated to build homes in our Cedar Creek community.”

Mark Lashier, president and chief executive officer of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company, added, “Chevron Phillips Chemical is thrilled to be recognized as the honoree for the 2018 Habitat for Humanity gala. As we begin working on our sixth home in the North Montgomery County area, it is our distinct pleasure to turn houses into homes for deserving families across the region.”

Set for May 5, 2018 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott and presented by LGI Homes, the “Fiesta de Colores: Bringing Families Home” gala promises to be an elegant, fun-filled evening, once again, where community members gather together for good. Bid boards, live and silent auctions, dancing to the tunes of Password, plus a powerful homeowner testimonial make for an event not to miss! Event and sponsorship information can be found at HabitatMCTX.org/gala.
