Local Memorial Day Events

This Memorial Day, honor those who lost their lives while serving our country and kick off the start of the summer season with these local events.


May 30, 2021 – Celebrate the official start to summer at the annual Memorial Day event in The Woodlands! The Sunday event pays tribute to all military service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the United States. The festival features live music, strolling entertainers and more at Town Green Park. The evening concludes with a dazzling fireworks display (weather permitting) choreographed to a patriotic soundtrack. Concessions will be available for purchase. A care package drop-off booth will be available onsite to accept donations of recommended items to be shipped to the troops. Learn More

5 p.m. – Welcome and National Anthem
5:10 p.m. – Live Music by Walkin’ the Line (A Tribute to Johnny Cash)
6:30 p.m. – Keynote Speaker TBD
7:15 p.m. – Live Music by Yelba (Latin/Variety)
8:55 p.m. – Fireworks

Kick off summer in The Woodlands at the Memorial Day Sunday Festival with live music, children’s activities and fireworks, Sunday, May 28, 2017, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Town Green Park, 2099 Lake Robbins Drive.

May 30, 2021 – This Memorial Day Weekend, Market Street invites guests to kick back, relax and enjoy the sounds of live music from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 30. Toe-tapping Top 40 hits will be performed by the popular group Rapture. Guests are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the concert in Central Park. Learn More

May 30, 2021 – Enjoy Memorial Day with the family at the free Kids Cast & Catch Family Fun Day, held at Montgomery County Veteran’s Memorial Park. Activities include a bounce house, giant yard games, hi-striker, inflatable archery range, and face-painting. Learn More

  • Activities 9:30 – 3:00 pm
  • Check-in begins at 9:00 am
  • Get ready to see the Hotrod Jeeps, Trucks, and Cars on display in parking lot
  • Kid Fish 9:30 am – noon for ages 3-9 years with all bait and poles provided.
  • Hotdogs and beverages beginning at noon
  • Watch the motorcycles move in at 1:00 pm
  • Stay for the Patriotic Concert at 1:30 pm

May 31, 2021 – The Memorial Day Observance & Park Dedication held at Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park, will feature ceremonies to honor our veterans, beginning at 11:00 am with dedication of The Line, Victory Row, The Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Monument, and Remembered Whispers. Learn More

  • The Line is a national monument of name panels with veterans and current servicemembers across the nation who have honorably served
  • Victory Row sits on 7 acres displaying 13 flags representing the 6 military branches, POW/MIA, Merchant Marines, Space Force, First Responders and the USO.
  • Remembered Whispers is an acoustical sculpture of chimes blowing with the wind honoring the Women Airfrce Service Pilots (WASPS) who served in WWII
  • The Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Monument memorializes the 174 service members from Montgomery County who have made the ultimate sacrifice
