Local philanthropist to chair the American Heart Association’s Montgomery County Circle of Red initiative
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death for women[1] in Montgomery County and across the United States. To change that, the American Heart Association, a relentless force changing the future of health for everyone everywhere, is encouraging women to prioritize their heart health. Leading that effort locally is Sarah Rados, independent distributor with Global Health Innovators, who is serving as the 2026 – 2027 chair for Montgomery County’s Circle of Red, empowering women in the community to take charge of their heart health. Go Red for Women and Circle of Red are dedicated to helping women lead healthier lives.

Circle of Red, Go Red for Women’s annual giving society is made up of individuals standing at the forefront of the fight against cardiovascular disease in women. The American Heart Association’s Circle of Red advocates for members to use their influence, generosity and ambassadorship to raise awareness of the No.1 killer of women – heart disease and stroke.
“I’m honored to have served as the American Heart Association’s Woman of Impact for Montgomery County this past year,” Rados said. “This mission is deeply personal because my family has been affected by heart disease. I’m committed to advancing heart health, supporting lifesaving research and education, and continuing this work as Circle of Red chair to help more families find hope and strength.”
Circle of Red members are leaders in their communities and families. As some of the greatest champions of the Go Red for Women movement, Circle of Red members not only help save lives, but they are the heart of the mission.
“There is one source of support women can count on — each other. Circle of Red is the heartbeat of the Go Red for Women movement and Sarah’s unwavering passion and dedication to our community is creating real change in Montgomery County,” said Lisa Fenley, executive director for the American Heart Association – Gulf Coast.

Go Red for Women is nationally sponsored by CVS Health, and the Montgomery and North Harris Go Red for Women Experience is locally sponsored by Waste Connections. For more information, on how to get involved with Circle of Red, contact Faith Eberwein at Faith.Eberwein@heart.org.
