Pet of the Month: Manolo
Hello Woodlands in partnership with Operation Pets Alive highlights a “Pet of the Month” that features a local dog or cat available for foster and/or adoption in Montgomery County, Texas. Operation Pets Alive is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization striving to elevate Montgomery County to a No-Kill community through innovative programs that raise community awareness, reduce the number of dogs and cats that enter our shelters, and increase the number of dogs and cats that leave our shelters alive.
For our Pet of the Month, we are excited to introduce you toManolo!

Manolo’s Story

Manolo was born in May 2020, and was brought to Montgomery County Animal Shelter with his mom and seven of his siblings. Soon his mom was transported up north and Manolo and his siblings all found homes. Sadly, Manolo’s family was no longer able to care for him and he was returned to Operation Pets Alive (OPA) in June 2021.
Manolo is a big energetic boy, he loves attention and his toys. His ideal home would include a big backyard and a family that loves to play! Manolo recently completed two weeks of Stay and Study training with PetSuites The Woodlands where he worked on loose leash walking, commands and general good boy manners. He is house and crate trained, and rides well in the car.

His trainer has said that he is very smart and picks up on things quickly and that he is extremely food motivated, which is great for training! Manolo also got approved for daycare and enjoys playing with other dogs. Manolo’s training also comes with a reference packet to show all of the cues he has learned, what these cues are used for, as well as how to keep everything consistent at home! OPA may also be able to arrange a free training session for Manolo’s adopter to learn first-hand how to keep consistent with his training!
Manolo’s second birthday will be here before we know it, and we hope he has found his forever home in time to celebrate with his new family. If you are interested in setting up a meet and greet or adopting Manolo, submit an application (no obligation to adopt) on our website with his name and ID D200465: https://operationpetsalive.org/programs/adopt/
