Sheriff Investigating Homicide in Woodforest Subdivision

On December 31st 2019 at about 9:10 p.m., the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 250 block of North Lynx Trail in the Woodforest Subdivision (Montgomery, Texas) in reference to a shooting call. Upon arrival deputies found a 27 year old white female with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts made by Deputies and EMS personnel, the female was pronounced deceased at the scene. The female’s boyfriend, a 28 year old white male, was located at a neighbor’s house approximately two doors down, and was detained without incident. Homicide and Violent Crimes Unit Detectives, Crime Scene Investigators, and the Montgomery County DA’s office responded to the scene, and the investigation is currently ongoing. The male was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident, and is currently charged with murder. The identity of the deceased and the suspect are being withheld pending notification of the next of kin. As this is an ongoing investigation, more information will be provided as it becomes available.
