Water Lantern Festival to Light Up North Houston’s City Place Memorial Day Weekend
SPRING, TX – Water Lantern Festival, named Best Cultural Festival by USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, is coming to north Houston’s City Place (1250 Lake Plaza Drive – Spring, TX 77389) on Saturday, May 27, 2023 over Memorial Day Weekend. The acclaimed and uplifting experience, which boasts sold out activations around the world, creates a wonderful memory for attendees as thousands of personalized lanterns illuminate the water – in this case the picturesque pond system in City Place Park – in a magical display.

Check-in opens at 5:30 pm for ticketed guests with lantern design beginning at 8 pm. The event caps off from 8:30 – 9:30 pm during the lantern launch. Guests will enjoy live music, specialty vendors and a variety of food truck offerings from 5:30 until 9:30 pm. Tickets, which include a floating lantern kit, LED candle, commemorative drawstring bag, marker, playing cards and conversation cards, are now available for sale at www.waterlanternfestival.com/houston.php.
Early bird pricing is $26.98 per person through May 17 and $45.99 until May 26. Day of event pricing is $55.99 per person. A portion of tickets sales benefit non-profit Water.org, a global nonprofit organization working to bring water and sanitation to the world with the goal of making access safe, accessible and cost-effective.
