Woodforest to Add New Amenity Complex This Year

MONTGOMERY, TX – In development for more than 14 years, Woodforest continues to add to its amenity offerings, with The Vue at The Crest Park opening this summer.

This 10-acre park will be home to the community’s third pool, which will be anchored by a 4,000-square-foot open-air party pavilion that will include a commercial catering kitchen. The building’s architecture is reminiscent of a barn.

“This new amenity is a welcome addition to the many amenities the nearly 12,000 residents of Woodforest already enjoy,” said Woodforest Vice President and General Manager Virgil Yoakum. “The Vue will not only give residents added access to our most popular types of amenities, it will bring something entirely new to the community.”

Future phases of the park could include a second dog park and a disc golf course. The pavilion and event lawn will host events planned by the Woodforest lifestyle team.

The Vue at The Crest Park will also have an open lawn. Nature trails will link The Vue to the Forest Island tennis and aquatics center.

The Crest is currently Woodforest’s most active neighborhood with homes from Chesmar Homes, Highland Homes, Lennar, Perry Homes and Westin Homes. Offerings in the neighborhood include villas and homes designed for 40-, 50- and 55-foot homesites. Later this year, the developer will release new 55-foot homesites to builders Highland Homes, Perry Homes, and Westin Homes.

“This year saw Woodforest ranked among the nation’s 50 top-selling master-planned communities for a 10th year, so it’s no surprise that many neighborhoods in Woodforest are sold out,” Yoakum said. “But there’s still a lot of demand for a new home in Woodforest, so we expect these new properties to go quickly.”

There are nearly 5,000 homes in Woodforest, which is a community by Johnson Development. New home prices in Woodforest range from the mid $300,000s to more than $1 million.
