Crime Reduction Unit Proactive Enforcement leads to arrest of Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle Suspect
On the afternoon of June 17, 2026, deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) arrested a female suspect for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.
Deputies assigned to the CRU were conducting proactive patrols in The Woodlands in response to a recent surge in motor vehicle burglaries. During their patrol, deputies located a white Nissan Sentra that had been reported stolen through the Houston Police Department. The vehicle was found parked at a gas pump at a local gas station.
After confirming the vehicle was occupied, deputies detained the driver who was identified as [the suspect], a 40-year-old female from Humble, Texas.
[The suspect] was taken into custody without incident where she was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. This arrest highlights the effectiveness of proactive enforcement efforts by the Crime Reduction Unit in addressing crime and enhancing public safety within the community.
