Montgomery County Jury finds Repeat Sex Offender guilty, two Life Sentences
A Montgomery County jury has sentenced 23-year-old Logan Michael Parker to two life sentences in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after finding him guilty of Aggravated Sexual Assault and Aggravated Kidnapping for the violent attack of a pregnant convenience store clerk working alone during the overnight hours.
Following a multi-day trial before the Honorable Patty Maginnis in the 435th District Court, jurors returned guilty verdicts on August 5, 2026. On August 6, during the punishment phase of the trial, the jury needed only a brief deliberation before determining that life imprisonment was the appropriate punishment, finding both enhancement allegations true and assessing two concurrent life sentences. He will not be eligible for parole for at least 30 years.
Evidence presented at trial showed Parker entered a gas station on SH 105 shortly after midnight to purchase a drink. When his card was declined, the clerk voided the transaction and used her employee discount so he could leave with the drink free of charge. Minutes later, Parker returned, parked behind the business, turned off his headlights, and deliberately targeted the lone employee. He forced the pregnant clerk into a restroom, threatened her life, sexually assaulted her, stole her cell phone, and fled. After escaping, the victim remained hidden until she believed it was safe to seek help from customers entering the store. One customer immediately called 911.
The Conroe Police Department quickly launched an extensive investigation that ultimately led to uncovering surveillance footage, DNA evidence, digital forensic analysis, cellular records, vehicle location data, and other forensic evidence that prosecutors ultimately presented to the jury.
The State was represented by Chief Prosecutor Laura Hill and Division Chief Shanna Redwine.

District Attorney Mike Holley said the sentence reflects the courage of the victim and the collective efforts of everyone who helped bring the case to justice.
“The facts of this case are difficult to read because they reveal calculated evil. A woman showed this defendant compassion. He repaid that kindness by returning to the store and committing an unspeakable act of violence against the very person who helped him. Thanks to extraordinary courage of the survivor, the outstanding work of the Conroe Police Department, and the commitment of Chief Prosecutor Laura Hill, Division Chief Shanna Redwine, and the entire prosecution team, this defendant will spend at least the next three decades behind bars before he is eligible for parole.”— District Attorney Mike Holley
