Angel Reach announces First Youth Graduates from Village
Angel Reach, the Montgomery County nonprofit focused on meeting the needs of youth who have aged out of the care system and those at risk of homelessness, announces the first youth graduating from their transitional living program since the opening of their Angel Reach Village in January 2024.
“It has been a long journey, and today, we celebrate a significant milestone at Angel Reach Village. After years of planning and hard work by the Angel Reach board, builders, donors, staff, and volunteers, our vision has become a reality: a safe, supportive community where young adults at risk of homelessness can find stability, learn life skills, pursue education, and grow into independent, self-sufficient individuals,” said Daniel Alexander, Angel Reach CEO and Executive Director.
“Today, we proudly announce the graduation of the first four young adults from the Angel Reach Village. These four individuals, who have been in our program for up to two years, moved into our new duplexes in January, and each has embraced the opportunity for growth and transformation in our program. The Angel Reach Village became more than just a place to live—it became a foundation for their bright futures. They felt safe, secure, and cared for, giving them the space to focus on personal development and long-term success. Over the past few weeks, each expressed their readiness to take the next step toward independence.
“These success stories are exactly what we hoped for when we created the duplexes at Angel Reach Village. Our goal has always been to simulate real-life independence, offering young adults the opportunity to experience the responsibilities and rewards of self-sufficiency in a safe and nurturing environment. The results speak for themselves: once in their own homes, these young adults began to realize their potential— financially, emotionally, and personally—and the momentum of their lives began to accelerate.
“Watching our clients reach the point where they are ready to launch into independent living has been one of the greatest joys for our team. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and are excited to share this news with you!”
