Interfaith of The Woodlands appoints LaToya Collins at Vice President of Social Enterprise and People

Interfaith of The Woodlands is proud to announce the promotion of LaToya Collins to Vice President of Social Enterprise and People. A respected leader within the organization and the community, Collins brings more than 15 years of non-profit experience in organizational leadership and human relations. Collins previously served as Director of Human Resources where she played an instrumental role in cultivating a workplace environment focused on employee engagement and retention, training and development and performance management.

In her new role, Collins will oversee Interfaith’s social enterprise initiatives including The Hand Me Up Shop and Interfaith Child Development Center while continuing to lead people-centered strategies that strengthen workplace culture and organizational effectiveness. As a key member of Interfaith’s Executive Senior Leadership Team her role reflects Interfaith’s ongoing commitment to fostering a culture rooted in respect, teamwork and, above all, service.

“LaToya’s leadership, expertise, and unwavering commitment to people make her exceptionally well-suited for this role,” said Missy Herndon. “She brings a thoughtful, strategic approach to both our team and our mission, and we are confident she will continue to strengthen our organization and expand the impact of our social enterprise efforts.”

Prior to joining Interfaith, Collins started her tenure in the nonprofit sector as Assistant Director of Family Promise of Montgomery County and later assumed the role of Executive Director. She then transitioned to YES to YOUTH – MCYS as Director of Human Resources, followed by the role of Director of Recruitment and Selection at Northwestern Mutual – The Woodlands.

Collins holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Sam Houston State University and a Diversity and Inclusion for HR Certificate from Cornell University. She is a SHRM Certified Professional, a Certified Adult Mental Health First Aider, and holds a SHRM Specialty Credential in Workplace Investigations. Collins is also a graduate of Leadership Montgomery County Class of 2016, an active LMC alumni, and a current participant in the LMC Leadership Master Class 4.

Deeply committed to the community, Collins currently serves on the boards of Compassion United and the Montgomery County Women’s Council of Organizations. She has previously served on the boards of Leadership Montgomery County, the Community Assistance Center, and the Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless. Additionally, she has contributed her expertise to the Diversity and Inclusion Council for The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce and continues to volunteer her time with Education for Tomorrow Alliance and Lone Star College-lifePATH program while frequently seeking new opportunities to engage and give back to the Montgomery County community.
