MCTX Sheriff Employees Win Prestigious Awards in East County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – Sheriff Rand Henderson is proud to announce two employees were recognized as “Officer of the Year” by the East Montgomery County Improvement District (EMCID) Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner held on February 27th at the Nathaniel Center in Kingwood, Texas.

Sergeant David Miller and Detective Keith Billiris were both recognized by the EMCID Board of Directors for outstanding service to our community and presented awards at a ceremony attended by Texas First Lady Cecilia Abbott and retired Sheriff, author, and nationally known news commentator on law enforcement David Clarke.

Showing appreciation to EMCID, Sheriff Henderson stated, “I am so grateful to the East Montgomery County Improvement District for recognizing these two veteran employees on my team. Sergeant Miller and Detective Billiris proudly serve our community and embrace the high law enforcement values we embrace here at MCSO. My thanks to Sergeant Miller and Detective Billiris for their daily work ethic and dedication.”
