Things to know about 2025 Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas in The Woodlands on April 26

The 2025 Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas North American Championship Triathlon returns to The Woodlands on Saturday, April 26.

The fourth stop in the 2025 IRONMAN Pro Series™ will see over 80 of the world’s top professional triathletes converge on The Woodlands, Texas to battle for a piece of the $175,000 total pro prize purse. Saturday’s race will be broadcast live and for free across multiple platforms for viewers around the world including proseries.ironman.com and YouTube, among others (see links below).

IRONMAN Pro Series

The IRONMAN Pro Series™, now in its second year, will see professional triathletes vie for the title of IRONMAN Pro Series Champion and a lion’s share of the lucrative $1.7 million USD year-end bonus prize pool. In 2025, the IRONMAN Pro Series will be contested over 18 events and 17 race locations around the globe, including a combination of six IRONMAN® and eight IRONMAN® 70.3® triathlons, as well as the IRONMAN World Championship® women’s and men’s races and IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship triathlon.

Race Overview

  • Yet another star-studded men’s field highlighted by 2023 Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas champion Rudy Von Berg (USA), 2022 IRONMAN World Champion Gustav Iden (NOR), and 2021 IRONMAN World Champion Kristian Blummenfelt (NOR).
  • World class women’s field headlined by 2024 IRONMAN Pro Series winner Kat Matthews (GBR), three-time IRONMAN 70.3 World Champion Taylor Knibb (USA), 2022 IRONMAN World Champion Chelsea Sodaro (USA), and 2025 IRONMAN New Zealand Champion Regan Hollioake (AUS) among many others.
  • Top professional triathletes from around the world will head to the Lone Star State for the second IRONMAN Pro Series race of the 2025 season in North America to battle for a share of the $175,000 prize purse and up to 5,000 series points.
  • IRONMAN Pro Series Panel to take place at 1:00 p.m. CT on Thursday, April 24 located at the Marriott Hotel – Waterway 6 Room and is free and open to the public.
  • The race will be broadcast live and for free across multiple platforms for international viewers including proseries.ironman.com, DAZN, iQIYI, L’Équipe Live, and YouTube among others, and exclusively on Outside TV for US and Canada viewers.
  • Approximately 2,500 Age-group athletes will compete alongside the professionals on the same course, looking to earn qualifying slots to the 2025 IRONMAN World Championship triathlons with the men’s race being held in Nice, France on Sept 14. and women’s race being held in Kona, Hawai`i on Oct 11.

  • The top five countries represented are United States, Mexico, Canada, United Kingdom, Argentina, and Germany.
  • Occupations include Airline Pilot, Attorney, Chef, Dentist, Flight Attendant, Fire Fighter, Engineer, Healthcare Professional, Musician, and Scientist.

Pro Athlete Panel

See the top contenders participating in the IRONMAN Pro Series at the Pro Athlete Panel. The panel, which is free and open to the public, will take place at 1:00 p.m. CT on Thursday, April 24 located in the Marriott Hotel – Waterway 6 Room. While this list is subject to change, the IRONMAN Pro Series Panel is expected to include:

IRONMAN Foundation Giveback
This year, the IRONMAN Foundation is distributing over $100,000 in charitable giveback to local organizations within The Woodlands and the surrounding area, bringing the total historical giveback to over $1.6 million.
