Children’s Memorial Hermann IRONKIDS Texas Fun Run & Doggie Dash held in Northshore Park
The Children’s Memorial Hermann IRONKIDS Texas Fun Run & Doggie Dash was held this past Saturday, April 11 at Northshore Park in The Woodlands. The IRONKIDS Fun Run offered young athletes the opportunity to feel the excitement of competition, while enjoying the outdoors and promoting healthy living.

The event began with village family-friendly booths/activities followed up opening ceremonies and a warm-up. The fun run races included:
- Diaper Dash 26.2 ft. | Independent crawlers, under 2 years
- Toddler Dot Trot 80 ft. | Independent walkers, ages 1-3 years
- Half mile (ages 3-8 years)
- Mile (ages 5-17 years)
- The Doggie Dash – Half mile or mile
The park had fun activities for families of all ages, including mingling with mascots, snow cones, photo opportunities, pet and health booths, an obstacle course, various games, face painting, crafts, and pediatric ambulance tours.

And get ready for the Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas North American Championship this Saturday, April 18! Athletes will start their journey in The Woodlands with a 2.4-mile, spectator-lined lake swim, cruise at their own volition for a 112-mile ride on mostly closed roads, and embrace the Texas faithful on one of the most spirited 26.2-mile runs in North America.
The 2026 Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas North American Championship triathlon will welcome more than 100 professional triathletes to its start line in The Woodlands. Learn more
