Montgomery County Food Bank welcomes Five New Board Directors
Montgomery County Food Bank is proud to announce five new members of its Board of Directors for the term beginning May 2026. Representing leaders from grocery retail, education, waste services, and the business community, the incoming directors bring a wealth of expertise that will strengthen the Food Bank’s ability to serve neighbors facing hunger across Montgomery County.
The Food Bank also announces that Brian Albert, Partner at Kean Miller LLP The Woodlands, has been named Board Secretary. Albert joined the Board of Directors in 2025 and steps into the officer role following the departure of outgoing Secretary Edmund Robb.
“We are truly grateful to welcome these extraordinary leaders to the Montgomery County Food Bank board. They bring a depth of experience and a genuine commitment to serving our community, and we are honored they have chosen to dedicate their time and talent to this mission,” said Jim Carman, Chairman of the Board and President of the Houston Region for Howard Hughes.

The five newly appointed directors are:
- -James Anderson, General Manager at H-E-B, joins the board bringing 18 years with the company across its Central Texas and Houston operations, along with a seat on H-E-B’s WGO council. A Texas Tech University graduate who earned his MBA from Tarleton State University, Anderson stays rooted in the community he serves, having served on the Willis ISD Education Foundation Board of Directors and holding lifetime membership in the Montgomery County Fair Association.
- Mark Linabury, President & CEO of the Greater East Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, has led the Chamber since 2019, growing it to more than 550 member businesses, the largest membership in its 36-year history, and earning the Advanced Chamber Management (ACM) certification along the way. A connector of business, nonprofit, education, and government leaders across Montgomery County, he also serves on the boards of HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood and the Tavola Community Foundation.
- Dr. David Vinson, Superintendent of Conroe Independent School District, was named to lead Conroe ISD in 2025 after serving as Superintendent of Wylie ISD, where every campus earned an “A” rating from the Texas Education Agency and the district’s fund balance grew from $9 million to more than $85 million. A Texas Tech University graduate who holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction, Vinson is a respected voice in Texas education policy and an Eagle Scout whose commitment to service has spanned a lifetime.
- Mary Anne Whitney, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Waste Connections, brings more than 25 years of financial leadership, having served as EVP and CFO since 2021 over a 17-year tenure with the company. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Vestis Corporation as a member of its Audit Committee. A dedicated community volunteer, Whitney served on the board of Interfaith of The Woodlands for eight years, including two as Chairman of the Board. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Georgetown University and an MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
- Kaylea Williams, Division Associate & Labor Relations Manager at Kroger, oversees associate and labor relations across more than 100 Kroger stores throughout South Texas and Southwest Louisiana. Since beginning her Kroger career in 2011, she has advanced through store and division leadership and now mentors the division’s Associate Resource Groups while partnering with NextUp Texas to advance women in leadership. She holds SHRM and LERN certifications and is pursuing a master’s degree at Sam Houston State University.
