TWCA’s Crescent City Soirée raises $1.75 million for Campus Master Plan
The Woodlands Christian Academy held it’s Crescent City Soirée on April 12, 2025 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. More than 400 guests gathered in New Orleans inspired formal attire to celebrate the school’s accomplishments as well as where it is headed with future growth. The goal of the event’s fundraising efforts was to facilitate the campus growth needed to accommodate future enrollment and further establish the school as a future-ready campus.
The evening included bid board and live auction donation opportunities with both in-person and virtual participants bidding for luxury adventures, thoughtfully curated items and endearing class projects. The rousing energy came from the ‘Crescent City’ theme that included sounds of live jazz music, an on-site oyster shucker who wowed attendees with his impeccable skill at preparing the delicious delicacy, and decorations which evoked the look and feel of the French Quarter. The evening began with pre-function fun and ended with an after party that included music from a band celebrated as among New Orleans greatest entertainers, Rockin’ Dopsie Jr. and The Zydeco Twisters.

Early estimates suggest a $1,750,000 gross profit. The funds raised from the event enable TWCA to meet county requirements by acquiring 4.85 acres of land situated behind the Joshua Academic Center. Completing this first step enables to the school to move forward with the campus master plan that was unveiled at the annual gala to a celebratory audience.
Head of School, Julie Ambler, shared her gratitude for the tremendous support of the school, “I am grateful to Nicole and Will Murphy, our chairs, The George Family, our Crescent City Circle Presenting Sponsor, Team Reed Enterprises, Inc. Justine and Patrick Reed, our French Quarter Founders Capstone Society Member, the members of our auction and gala committee, and our many sponsors, volunteers and supporters.”
