The dazzling Water Lantern Festival returns to City Place on June 1
UPDATE 5/31: The Water Lantern Festival has been rescheduled to October 5, 2024. Read update here
The nationally acclaimed Water Lantern Festival, named 2023 Best Cultural Festival by USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, is returning to north Houston’s dynamic lifestyle hub, City Place.
The memorable experience centers around the opportunity for guests to personally design LED candle-lit lanterns – adorning them with messages of love, hope, healing and peace – and sending them off to float alongside thousands of others in City Place Park’s main pond in a magical nighttime display. Highlights of the popular event include food trucks, music, vendors and games.
Open to the public and free to attend, the family-friendly festival will take place on Saturday, June 1 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the City Place Plaza located at 1250 Lake Plaza Dr., Spring, TX 77389.
Tickets to take part in the lantern elements start at early bird pricing of $13.70 for youth and $28.33 for adults (until May 22) with a portion of proceeds benefitting Water.org, a global nonprofit organization that helps people in need get access to safe water and sanitation.
