October 7, 2023 – Halloween Pickleball Tournament – The Halloween Pickleball Tournament is a friendly pickleball tournament with a Halloween theme. October 23-31 2023 – Storybook Pumpkin Contest – Join the Tomball Community Library in October for the return of the Storybook Pumpkin Contest! Registration for this event begins on Monday, October 9 and is open to families of school-age children. Have fun at home and decorate a pumpkin as a favorite character from a book. Drop-off for entries in the library’s Pumpkin Patch is October 23 & 24. Pumpkins will be displayed in the Pumpkin Patch until October 31 when they will be judged. November 4, 2023 – Pumpkin Smash – The Woodlands Township’s Pumpkin Smash is a FREE and FUN event that provides a unique opportunity for residents to dispose of their Halloween pumpkins. Catapult it and watch it fly, grab a baseball bat and smash it to pieces or watch it explode on impact from a 30’ drop. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to monitor safety and ensure fun is had by all participants. Ghoulish pumpkin remains will give new life as nutrient-rich compost instead of being buried in the landfill. Discover how easy it is to start composting in your own backyard.
