September 2022 – Classes and Programs at Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center – Canopy is a cancer survivorship on the campus of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center. Canopy is open to men and women, no matter where you were treated, and for any kind of cancer. If your life has been impacted, whether you were the patient or the caregiver, you have a safe haven at Canopy. September 16, 2022 – Digital Marketing Boot CampSHSU Small Business Development Center is hosting a free seminar with Jennifer Bruse, Hello Woodlands President & CEO and Digital Marketing expert, geared at helping small business owners learn how to promote and market their business using digital marketing. In the Digital Marketing Boot Camp, Jennifer Bruse will present proven approaches and strategies on how small business owners can get their digital marketing plan “in shape” to reach their target audience and customers. September 29 – October 2, 2022 – YMCA Dragon Boat Team Challenge – Join us for the 23rd Annual YMCA Dragon Boat Team Challenge Event presented by Repsol, rowing for a CAUSE September 29 – October 2, 2022 at Northshore Park and Lake Woodlands! The YMCA Dragon Boat Team Challenge is an event designed to build community spirit among corporations, civic groups and community organizations. The activities are designed to bring individuals together to achieve a single goal – TO HAVE FUN!  They achieve this by becoming a team and working together as a synchronized unit. It’s much more than “beating the other team.” It’s the camaraderie, visiting and playing with old friends, meeting new friends, working hard and feeling good about it. September 3, 2022 – Cars & Coffee Family Friendly Car Show – Open to the public and free of charge, the family-friendly Cars & Coffee series integrates four, three and two-wheel motor bikes, cars and trucks in a lively automobile showcase at north Houston’s City Place from 10 am to noon. Cars & Coffee brings together fans, families, friends and community members in a laid-back affair with no revving, burnouts or loud music. September 10, 2022 – The Lazy River 5k Run/Walk – The Lazy River 5k Run/Walk is anything but LAZY! At the 1st ever Lazy River 5K, go against the current for 3.11 miles (11 laps equals 1 mile) at the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center. September 30, 2022 – The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting & Awards Luncheon – The Chamber’s annual luncheon recognizes retiring Board of Directors, Team Leaders and member anniversaries. In addition, the Diplomat of the Year will be recognized. Through member nominations, The Chamber will announce those individuals selected as: Community Citizen of the Year, Chamber Volunteer of the Year, and Top Influencer Under 40. Additional specialty awards will also be unveiled for the Chairman’s Award and Legacy Award. Hello Woodlands, in partnership with Operation Pets Alive, highlights a “Pet of the Month” that features a local dog or cat available for foster and/or adoption in Montgomery County, Texas. Operation Pets Alive is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization striving to elevate Montgomery County to a No-Kill community through innovative programs that raise community awareness, reduce the number of dogs and cats that enter our shelters, and increase the number of dogs and cats that leave our shelters alive.
